For Fall Winter 26, LEONÍ presents a portrait of Swedish actress Elin Klinga, exploring the quiet space between character and self.

A longstanding member of the Royal Dramatic Theatre’s ensemble, Klinga has spent three decades on the Swedish stage, working with some of the country’s most influential theatre makers, including Ingmar Bergman. She comes from a family deeply rooted in Swedish performing arts: her mother, Malin Ek, is an actress, while her maternal grandparents were the actor Anders Ek and pioneering choreographer Birgit Cullberg, founder of the Cullberg Ballet. Her artistic heritage is one of theatre and movement — of expression shaped as much by the body as by the spoken word.

In these portraits, that language becomes intimate. A turn of the head, the position of a hand, the way a garment falls or a gaze lingers. Rather than portraying a defined character, the series looks for the presence that exists before a role begins — the subtle gestures through which personality reveals itself.
